About Us
Boho Lux is a Fibre Arts Studio rooted in sensory Caribbean culture, exploring the use of colour, texture and storytelling in its production of luxury crochet and macrame designs. Every piece that leaves our hands begins as a thought and a thread, brought to life stitch by stitch to create pieces meant to enhance the aesthetic and functionality of daily life when carried to market, to the beach, to dinner with people you love. We work primarily in crochet at this time, choosing yarns and finishes that hold up to real life without losing the silhouettes and vibrancy that drew us to fibre arts in the first place.
Founded in Tobago, the studio takes its cues from home and the wider Caribbean - from the hillsides of Hope and Paramin, to the flora of St Lucia and the music of Grenada - and translates their vibrations into pieces woven with a distinct island sensibility: warm, elegant, sassy, unmistakably ours. Many of our designs carry the names of the places and moments that inspired them, a small way of keeping the story stitched into the piece itself.
Boho Lux is part of the Maison Tardieu family of artisan brands. For us, this has never just been a business. As our founder puts it:
"Creating isn't just my passion, it's my path to homeostasis. I'm constantly tapped into that river of ideas all artists draw from, and it's no secret that that brews a chaotic energy in many of us. But the process of bringing thought to life is a ritual that connects you even more deeply to the river's Source - the Divine Mind. That connection feels like peace to me."
